The river Napo is known locally as the Jatun Yacu River, which in the Kichwa language translates as “big water”. A great trip for both beginners and experts alike with the perfect combination of rapids, landscapes and the Ecuadorian jungle. As one of the tributaries of the powerful Amazon River, this is one of those adventures that you can’t miss!

Itinerary
Meeting at our office in Tena at 09h00, we make the presentation of our team that will accompany us on our adventure, then we will drive to the sector of Cando where we start the descent in the boats, this place is located 40min from Tena or Llanganates National Park.

On the way back, the guide in charge will give you the safety talk that will allow us to be prepared and enjoy the great rafting adventure to the fullest.
Once you are ready, now begins the descent of the first rapids of which Pimpilala is one of the biggest. After this first wave of adrenaline, the fun continues as you traverse whitewater walls, explore a hidden canyon, move silently along the steep cliffs of the river, and take a dip in the refreshing waters. Also a few small stops at other rivers to take some pictures and then continue.
A delicious lunch on the banks of the Jatun Yacu River, recharge energy and continue to Puerto Napo.
End of adventure and return to the city of Tena.
