Class IV technical:
After a half-hour walk through the jungle, the starting point for the rafting tour is reached. The river Jondachi flows through the untouched jungle. It leads through a canyon with many beautiful waterfalls. On the 23 km long tour, you will experience many big waves!
Itinerary
Meet at 8h30, at our office in Tena.
This trip starts with a 35min drive, by transport to reach a community of Monda Yacu. This is followed by a 30-minute walk through muddy and slippery terrain.
Once we arrive at the starting point, you will receive a safety briefing and then we will begin the descent.
The first part of the rafting trip is on the Jondachi River; this section is very technical because you must avoid several obstacles and pass through narrow channels and with its waterfalls plus incredible vegetation this is where teamwork is put to the test.
The second part of the rafting trip is at the junction of the Jondachi River with the exciting Hollin River.
The volume of water rises, there are bigger rapids, more adrenaline, and more fun.
Teamwork, excitement, adventure, and a delicious lunch on the banks of the river make this trip unforgettable.
Class IV deep water:
The river lower Misahualli runs through a deep canyon with many waterfalls around it. Nature is still untouched here and you will experience the real jungle. In the river, you will face some action-packed challenges: big water masses with huge waves and wild rapids. It is guaranteed a tour with a lot of adrenaline!
Itinerary
Meeting at our office in Tena at 08h30, we make the presentation of our team that will accompany us on our adventure. Then we will drive to the sector of Ongota where we start the descent in the boats. This place is located 30 minutes from Tena.
The Misahualli River is very close to the city, this route goes through attractive jungles and wild canyons. The Misahualli River is class IV.
The guide will give you the safety talk that will allow us to be prepared and to enjoy the maximum of the great adventure of Rafting.
This trip goes through the gorge and canyons of the primary forest, which finally reaches the Amazon. The trip starts with low level rapids and then increases in speed up to sections where the rapids reach grade IV or higher.
In one part of the river we have to walk for about 45 minutes to cross a giant rapid.
A delicious lunch on the banks of the river, we recharge energy and continue until we reach Puerto Misahualli.
End of adventure and return to the city of Tena.

What classes of rapids do you offer tours on, and how do you determine a participant’s suitability?
We offer tours on rapids ranging from Class 2 to Class 4. Children under 12 years old are limited to Class 2 tours. We recommend Class 4 tours only for experienced participants. Additionally, Class 4 rapids are not suitable for SUP.How should I prepare for a day of white water SUP?
You should be well-rested and have had a good breakfast. Alcohol consumption before and during the tour is not permitted.Are there any specific health requirements for participation?
The following requirements should be met:
- Have a basic level of physical fitness to cope with the physical demands of the tour.
- Be able to swim or at least have basic water skills.
- Be free from serious health issues that could impair their ability to safely participate in the tour, such as heart problems, asthma, or epilepsy.
- Refrain from consuming alcohol or drugs before or during the tour, as this could impair reaction times and judgment.
- Be willing to follow the guides’ instructions and adhere to safety precautions.

How do I book a tour and what is the cancellation policy?
You can book directly through our online form. Alternatively, you can contact us via WhatsApp, and we’ll reserve the desired tour for you. Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours before the tour. If you cancel after this time, 50% of the cost will be refunded.What payment options to do you accept?

Typically, the tours start at 9:00 AM at our agency or at your accommodation in Tena. However, for private tours, the start time can be adjusted according to your preferences.

What happens if the weather turns bad during the tour?
In the rainforest, rain is always a possibility. Tours proceed as scheduled regardless of rain. However, in the event of severe weather posing a danger to participants, the tour will be postponed, or refunds will be issued. If a Class 4 rafting tour cannot be conducted due to high water levels, a Class 3 tour will be offered instead, with the difference in cost refunded.What safety measures are in place for your tours?
Before every tour, we provide a safety instruction. Additionally, wearing life jackets and helmets is mandatory. We comply with all safety requirements for equipment, and we always use new materials of the highest quality to ensure the safety of our participants.What should be done in case of a medical emergency during the tour?
In the event of a medical emergency during the tour, our guides are trained to administer first aid and arrange transportation to the nearest medical facility. Our guides regularly attend first aid courses and always carry a first aid kit. Additionally, we have a private taxi available at all times for immediate access.What should I do if I fall into the water during the tour?
Try not to stand up and instead, float on your back. Stay calm and follow the guides’ instructions closely.
