Itinerary

Departure from our office 08h30, Raft Amazonia. We will head to Misahualli (a village near Tena) where we will stop to enjoy the fascinating monkeys playing in the sand.

After a short walk, we will arrive at the Paikawe lagoon where we will take a paddle canoe. At the lake, there is an enormous amount of wildlife to observe such as spider monkeys, tamarinds, and a variety of birds.

After spending some time exploring the lake, we will go ashore and hike through the muddy jungle. Your guide will tell you a lot about the surrounding vegetation including the medicinal plants that have been used by the local communities for generations. You also can see one of the largest trees ever discovered in the area.

We will paddle back from the lake and head towards the Shiripuno community for a delicious traditional lunch cooked by the local women. We will be welcomed by the women’s organization of the indigenous community. The local people will teach you about the Kichwa culture, such as how they used to dress, and show you traditional dancing and singing – a good opportunity for you to practice! Afterwards, the women will show you how to make chicha (an ancient traditional drink) and you will be able to taste it!

Finally, we will take a walk in the area surrounding the cabins. We will also visit a large sacred rock where the ladies will explain the spiritual significance it has for the local people. Before the opportunity passes, there is an option (not an obligation) to buy some handicrafts or traditional medicine, so bring some money if you plan to buy souvenirs. Dinner and rest

Breakfast 08h00. We will wake up to the sound of birds and rivers near the cabins. We get our equipment ready for a great adventure in the middle of the jungle we have the perfect offer for you.

In the Llanganates National Park, we follow a stream through the jungle and climb 3 waterfalls in the primary rainforest. After exploring our adventure, we continue into the higher jungle of the park. We return to our cabin for a delicious lunch.

Afterwards, relax and refresh yourself in the cool waters of a crystal-clear lagoon in the highest jungle of the National Park. We return to our cabin

Dinner and rest.

Breakfast 08h00. Rafting class III 27km: The Napo River is known locally as the Jatun Yacu River, which in the Kichwa language translates as “big water”. An ideal trip for beginners and experts alike, with the perfect combination of rapids, scenery, and Ecuadorian jungle.

The guide in charge will give you the safety talk that will allow us to be prepared and be able to enjoy most of the great Rafting adventure.

Once you are ready, now begins the descent of the first rapids of which Pimpilala is one of the largest. After this first wave of adrenaline, the fun continues as you traverse white water walls, explore hidden canyons, move silently along the steep cliffs of the river, and take a dip in the refreshing waters. Also a few small stops at other rivers to take some pictures and then continue.

A delicious lunch on the banks of the river Jatun Yacu, we recharge energy and continue until we reach Puerto Napo.

End of adventure and return to the city of Tena.
